This was a total experiment. I had used salt for an effect similar to this but I thought on this one I would try sugar. After applying the sugar I left and had lunch. On my return, oh my, ANTS were taking my sugar and paint away. It is really funny now. Don�t try this at home. They did carry away all the sugar so all is well now.

My favorite medium is anything I choose to use that day. Lately that has been oil. It has a rich velvety texture and glides over the canvas. I also like to use transparent watercolors because they glow with luminescence and allows for the light I see in life to be captured on paper. I started drawing as a teenager. You may recall those art advertisements that were in the guise of a contest. Draw this dog and submit it to our panel of artists and see if you qualify. Of course, every submission was a winner if you could afford the huge price tag to enroll in their correspondence school. Out of the mist. You see. this is close to dreaming. There are two well outlined objects. One invites to rest inside..to protect..and the other invites to go sailing. There is not any little boat close, so I presume that it is just a perspective, a thought about leaving. Light , vegetation and water seem to jump, to dissolve, to create patterns of re-creation. Do not doubt about what is then that need to be kept at home. But all of it is great, alive and freewheeling. I love it really much. Rosa
