Description
This camouflage painting depicts the patience and hunting skills of mans best friend is amazing.
Camouflage can be achieved in what may seem opposite ways. Mimesis means being seen, but resembling something else, whereas crypsis means being hidden.[2] But in both cases, camouflage is achieved by not being noticed. A third approach, dazzle, means confusing the predator or enemy by moving a conspicuous pattern. The prey or target is visible but hard to hit. (Wikipedia)

Great balance between dramatic realism and romantic impressionism are the hallmarks of this expertly composed and brilliantly executed piece. The intense concentration in the eyes of the hunters as they focus on the prey is perfectly captured here. Whether one likes or abhors hunting as a pass-time, the reality of it as a timeless endeavor involving the finely honed skills of human and canine in a team effort is clearly portrayed here. V

Wow! The dog almost leaps off the page - this painting is so 3-dimensional! Love the way the pair are staring over the viewer's shoulder. Fantastic painting. V&F

Sharon, love it this painting is so realistic. Love the expression on the dogs face as if he has seen something and is waiting for his master's approval to go get it. Love the expression on the hunter in the back trying to stay calm and quiet with his dog and rifle. Great detail with the tall grass, hiding the hunter and the dog. Excellent job, VOTED
